Wow, the readings made my head spin! I really like what Riemer said about adopting web features and expanding delivery. I feel that TCCL has made real progress in the 3 years that I've worked here and it's always exciting to hear about the new things that are going to be implemented. Web 2.0 has created expectations that ALL services should be 2.0 and I find customers as well as myself being frustrated when a company or service is behind the times. Library 2.0 is good for giving customers a feeling of ownership in their library as well as a voice.
What Schultz had to say about Library 3.0 and Library 4.0 is so hard for me to imagine. I guess I'm not good at visualizing things of the future and I have to admit that it doesn't sound very appealing. I guess I'm resistant to change but after a while I always find myself preferring the new way over the old. It will be neat to look back in 10-20 years to see how far libraries have evolved from where we currently are.
